Open Educational Resources
The Regional Centre for Information and Communication Technology (RCICT) is concerned with the exchange of information by creating a repository of high-quality OERs, and by facilitating consultations between stakeholders in the region on increasing the size of the current OER base.
Digital Content Standards
Contribute towards the establishment of digital content standards, by conducting research and updating information on those standards adopted in regional educational institutions by facilitating consultations between stakeholders and exploring options for sharing resources through the standardization of digital content.
RCICT Smart Library Phase 1
Smartlibrary1 
The Regional Centre for Information and Communication Technology has launched the first version of “RCICT Smart Library”. The smart library is a modern take on the traditional library that contains resources which cover several topics with the main one being information and communication technology. Visitors to the centre can get access to the open source content by simply scanning the QR code created on each book or report. The various electronic facilities and amenities provided by the Centre aim at disseminating information and keeping abreast with the technological developments.

The Regional Centre for Information and Communication Technology is an educational partner of UNESCO to follow up the implementation of SDG4 targets on a national level. The Centre provides the required support to all bodies working on the Education Agenda 2030 and participates in raising awareness of the sustainable development goals. RCICT also contributes actively in the development of the technological skills for youths and adults. In this context, the second phase of a smart library has been created, which includes a number of resources on SDG4 for knowledge acquisition and sharing.
RCICT Smart Library IFAP

The Information for All-Programme (IFAP) of UNESCO concentrates on three significant areas; promoting information literacy for all people, strengthening awareness about the importance of preservation of information of all kinds, and promoting a better understanding of the ethical, legal, and societal implications of ICTs. Guided by IFAP and SDG4; Quality Education, RCICT created the third version of the Centre’s smart library which contains a wide variety of open- source materials, which are accessible to all in a fast and easy way. Visitors to the centre can just scan QR codes using smart device to get any document. RCICT has been advocating in the dissemination of knowledge since the first version of its smart library.
