A workshop entitled “Education Digital Transformation with Cloud & AI” was held on the 28th February 2023, at the UNESCO Regional Centre for Information and Communication Technology (RCITC) in cooperation with Microsoft on the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence applications and digital transformation in education, in the presence of H. E. Haitham Isa Ali Al Sahli, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services at the Ministry of Education, Hamad A. Al-Saie, Managing Director of the Education Sector at Microsoft Middle East, and a number of directors and employees of the Ministry of Education. The workshop highlighted the importance of adopting AI applications to suit local educational institutions according to their policy, culture, and society, after which successfully applied models were presented that can be benefited from. It included many interventions that enriched the workshop with positive impact on the attendees, this workshop came to emphasize the importance of applying the capabilities of AI to support the teaching and learning process, which in turn will contribute to improving education outcomes.
