The establishment of the ICT Regional Centre in Bahrain was highly commended by HM the King.
HM the King, Shaikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received Dr. Majid Bin Ali Al Nu'aimi who presented to HM the King the technical drawings of the ICT Regional Centre which will be set up in Bahrain. This centre is considered the first of its kind in the world that UNISCO has agreed to establish and supervise in the Kingdom.
The Minister of Education presented to HM the King a copy of the mid-decade national report on education, prepared by the Ministry of Education on the occasion of Bahrain occupying the first position amongst the Arab countries in education according to 2008 report. This report, issued by UNESCO, classified Bahrain as one of the high performance countries that achieved the goals of education for all for the second successive year.
HM the King thanked the Minister of Education and the other officials for their great efforts which helped achieve noticeable achievements in the educational march.
HM the King also congratulated the secondary school leavers on their distinguished results. Furthermore, HM the King stressed the significance of the big role the kingdom plays in providing the best educational services to the citizens to consolidate the comprehensive development march.
HM the King, Shaikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa commended the establishment of ICT Regional Centre in Bahrain under the supervision of UNISCO. This asserts the big position Bahrain has occupied in this field when it has gained the confidence of UNESCO member countries. HM the King expressed his satisfaction with what Bahrain has achieved in the field of providing education for all.
