The Acting Director of RCICT participated in the annual Digital Inclusion Week for Arab States, which is organized by the International Telecommunication Union and in cooperation with the UNESCO Regional Office for Science for Arab Countries, during the period from the 25th to 31st October 2020 under the slogan “Serving the underserved in times of crisis: No one left behind” by means of the visual communication platform “Zoom”, Where Dr. May Shamandy presented a working paper entitled "Ensuring the Continuity of Work RCICT in Light of the (Covid 19) Pandemic” , in which she reviewed the the Regional Centre’s response to this crisis and the ways it dealt with the challenges, in addition to ensuring that the Centre continues to provide all its services and training programs with accreditation during the global pandemic. It is worth noting that the experience of the Regional Centre in facing the challenges arising from the (Covid 19) crisis will be made available and shared with more than two hundred countries that are members of the United Nations Organization in addition to the member states of the International Telecommunication Union as well as parties working in the field of digital inclusion.
